Undersea Walk

Like Neptune and little Ariel, descend to the sandy seabed and enjoy a 15–20 minute journey surrounded by colorful fishes. This is an amazing opportunity to experience marine life up close in the crystal-clear waters of the Belle Mare lagoon. Our monitors will guide you to approach the fish, which may even eat from your palm, near the lively eastern coral reef of Mauritius.

👥 Participant Guidelines:

• Minimum age: From 8 years old

• Child-friendly (depends on child height and must have broad shoulders)

• Swimming skills not mandatory

• Participants must be physically capable to undertake the activity

• Bring your own towels and swimwear (in line with sanitary measures)

🌊 Activity Details:

• A speed boat transfers you to the undersea walk platform.

• On the platform, a monitor explains the activity, including safety guidelines and underwater communication signs, and provides safety shoes and a weight belt.

• When ready, another monitor assists you down a ladder leading into the water.

• Once the water reaches your shoulders, the monitor fits the special helmet on you.

• After being equipped, you release your hands from the ladder and a diver helps you descend to the seabed at about 3–4 meters deep.

• Another monitor stays underwater to check on your comfort and safety through signs.

• When ready, you embark on a memorable journey feeding fishes and exploring the vibrant aquatic life in the crystal-clear lagoon waters.
